Welcome to The Villa of Zanzibar, a haven of peace in the Indian Ocean, facing the island of Tumbatu. From the owner’s passion for the island of Zanzibar and hospitality, this house of singular prestige was born, perfectly integrating with the natural and wild environment of Zanzibar.
Set on the north-west coast of Zanzibar in Kidoti, The Villa of Zanzibar is a 600 m² open-air residence where indoor and outdoor living flow naturally into one another.
Designed as a warm and elegant private Villa, combines refined island architecture with authentic Zanzibari materials such as hard wood and Tanga stone, creating a natural and balanced harmony.
Four double bedrooms welcome up to eight guests. They are set within generous living spaces, indoor and outdoor gardens, expansive terraces, a 27-metre infinity pool and a natural beachfront — an environment designed to step away from the outside world and take time for oneself and those who matter most.
At the edge of the property, a wild shoreline reveals itself with the rhythm of the tides, within a landscape that is ever-changing, serene and deeply natural.
The Villa welcomes children from the age of 12, when accompanied by their parents.
A dedicated team is present each day — manager-concierge, Chef, waitress, housekeepers, gardeners and 24-hour security — ensuring discreet and attentive service, allowing the days to unfold with ease.
A place where space, privacy and simplicity are held in complete discretion, without compromising the comfort of a fully serviced stay.
Morning swims. Long lunches. Barefoot evenings.
And the rare sense of being exactly where you belong.
At the Villa, time moves with the rhythm of the ocean.
In front of the property, the shoreline reveals itself with the tides. This natural stretch of coral sand invites unhurried walks along the shore, the discovery of shells and the observation of marine life visible at low tide. Light sea shoes are recommended for comfort when exploring this preserved landscape, where corals are to be admired but never touched.
When the tide is high, the ocean becomes directly accessible from the property, allowing guests to swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Around the pool, time unfolds between water and movement, play and swimming. Days extend naturally around the table, marked by the Chef’s attentions, from lighter dishes to more refined cuisine.
Just a few minutes away by car, Kendwa and Nungwi offer a different atmosphere, white-sand beaches, restaurants, bars and nightlife, before returning to the natural calm of the Villa.
For those wishing to explore further, a range of excursions can be arranged, including boat trips (Mnemba Island), visits to Stone Town and Prison Island, sandbanks, escapes to the beaches of Paje and Jambiani, or encounters with local life.
The Villa’s concierge can oversee every arrangement, working directly with our trusted local contacts, and can also organise transport with a private driver at preferential rates.
Here, time at the Villa flows naturally, leaving each guest free to shape their days at their own pace.
